How it works: Each week is 30 minutes of class plus 30 minutes of practice ice (LTS skaters who can skate on their own; parents watch from the stands). Progress Report Day is the second-to-last week with a next-level recommendation. Gloves required, helmets highly recommended; no make-ups and no refunds; rental $24 per session prepaid or $5 per class.
Trial class: Try Skating For Free clinics for new skaters ages 3-12 (page header says November 2026; exact date not posted; register via Google Form on the page).
Good to know
Worth it for a quiet skate on good ice; low Yelp score is mostly about thin staffing, not the ice.
Best for: a calm, uncrowded skate
People like: well kept ice, rarely crowded, friendly staff
Complaints: understaffed, snack bar or pro shop sometimes closed, check rental blades
Rating: 2.6 out of 5 on Yelp (17 reviews)
Food: Rink site lists concessions and two cafés in the building.
Skate sharpening: Yes (Hockey Deals Novi)
Pro shop: Yes
Skate helpers for beginners: Not listed
Birthday parties: Not listed
Lockers: Not listed
Admission notes: $13 per person all ages for public skates; $6 for weekday Noon Skates. 10-visit punch pass $130 (public) or $60 (noon), buy 10 get 1 free. Active or retired military get 10% off admission.
Rules: Helmets recommended. No jumps, spins, hockey drills, or private lessons during public skate.
Not confirmed (2)
- Café/concession hours during public skate sessions not confirmed.
